Deep purple color in appearance. The nose is dominated by aromas of red forest fruits, bitter chocolate, oak, vanilla, tobacco and minerality. In the mouth it is strong with strong tannins, flavors of red fruits, chocolate and a long aftertaste. All this in combination with the aromas of tobacco but also the characteristic sense of minerality that comes from the unique terroir of Santorini.
It accompanies red meats with spices, game, casseroles with sauces as well as yellow cheeses of long maturation.
